Hours: Monday - Friday 40 hours a week plus more to meet project deadlines

Job Summary:

The digital marketing specialist works under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President and participates in the direction, execution and daily management of all digital marketing strategies. Will be responsible for managing the bank's digital marketing presence including: implementing digital marketing strategy across all digital marketing mediums, website management and content updates, social media strategy and execution, blog management, e-newsletters and email marketing, digital advertising, and video development for online platforms. Will also be responsible for measuring digital outcomes and return on investment. Provides marketing support for internal departments, branch locations, and public relations programs as needed.  

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with the Marketing team to develop and execute digital marketing strategies and digital advertising plans based on overall advertising strategy and bank marketing strategy to acquire new customers and cross-sell existing customers; assists in the preparation of the annual marketing budget and works effectively within budget; monitors, records, and controls expenses.
  • Manages the bank's digital marketing presence by executing on strategy across all digital mediums (website, blog, social media, email, mobile, digital advertising and search engine marketing, video).
  • Creates and manages content for website, blog, and social media including writing, editing, and proofreading copy; work with bank subject matter experts to ensure content is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with bank regulations; works with Marketing team and vendors to produce visual content and video content for use in online platforms.
  • Supervises and maintains the bank's website, online, blog, and mobile marketing strategies; maintains and updates the website through the content management system including refreshing content, product promotion, images and search engine optimization; assists in development and execution of the bank's social media strategy, manages all social media platforms; monitors social media presence.
  • Assists in development and execution of inbound marketing programs for lead generation utilizing email marketing campaigns, social media, SEO, e-newsletters, landing pages, blog and CRM.
  • Seeks new innovations in online financial marketing initiatives; foster strong, collaborative relationships with vendors to optimize campaigns. 
  • Measuring digital outcomes and ROI of digital marketing and advertising strategies via Google Analytics and other accepted means; makes recommendations to improve digital presence and apply findings to other channels and departments within the organization.
  • Serves as internal liaison for project requests and coordinates with graphic designers and print vendors for revised marketing materials (advertisements, signage, brochures, direct mail campaigns and other collateral material).
  • Participates in various bank events and public relations activities as assigned. Performs other marketing support as assigned.

Desirable Education, Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in marketing, digital marketing, communications, interactive media or related field. Minimum of Associate's degree in related field and 2-4 years of experience. Solid understanding of digital marketing principles, internet technologies, website development, search engine optimization/search engine marketing, email marketing and social media.
  • 2-4 years professional experience in digital/online marketing, content creation in a B2B/B2C environment, social media and experience with Google Analytics.
  • Requires skills in MS Office Suite. Working knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite a plus but not required. Working knowledge of content management systems.
  • Self-motivator; problem solver. Effectively listens to others and makes clear and effective oral presentations. Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Adapts to change in the business environment in ways that help marketing stay on top of industry trends. Completes work in a cost effective and timely manner to meet deadlines yet demonstrate flexibility and agility to meet changes in work environment.
